PROTECTING YOUR GEAR HAS NEVER BEEN EASIER!

STEP 1: WASH

Defender bonds to a clean surface. Wash with Machine Clean or Liberty Soap and rinse thoroughly.

STEP 2: DILUTE & SPRAY

With the surface still soaking wet, spray Defender evenly over the surface. Dilute before you spray. We recommend 2 oz in our foam cannon. A little goes a long way.

STEP 3: RINSE

Rinse the surface thoroughly with water. The rinse is what activates Defender and spreads it into an even layer.

STEP 4: DRY

Use the 13 Supplies Twisted Loop Towel or blow it dry. This is where the gloss comes from, don't skip it and don't let it air dry.

Frequently asked questions about Machine Clean

How far does one 32oz bottle go?

Further than you'd expect. Car, truck, or SUV, straight from the bottle: about 2–3 oz per vehicle — call it 10 to 15 full applications. Truck and trailer, or a 40-foot RV, through a foam cannon at 10:1: about 3–4 oz of Defender per fill — 8 to 10 whole-rig applications. Maintenance coat through a pump sprayer at 20:1: 1–2 oz, so a bottle holds a lot of top-ups. At up to six months per application, one 32oz bottle is realistically a full season or more of protection for a truck, a trailer, and a boat.

How is this different from wax, or from a real ceramic coating?

Wax sits on top of your finish and washes off in a few weeks. A professional ceramic coating is a permanent, chemically bonded layer that takes a full day of prep, costs hundreds or thousands, and usually means paying a shop. Defender sits between them, and that's on purpose. It's ceramic chemistry that bonds to your finish for up to six months — far longer than wax — but it goes on in the time it takes to rinse your rig, with no prep, no curing, and no shop bill. It's also the easiest way to extend a coating you already paid for: spray it over your existing ceramic on wash day and you top up the water beading instead of watching it fade.

Do I need to wash my rig first?

Yes, and it's the one step you can't skip. Defender bonds to whatever it lands on — spray it over road film, brake dust, or old wax and you seal the dirt in instead of the shine. Wash with Machine Clean or Liberty Soap, rinse thoroughly, and then spray Defender while the surface is still soaking wet. Don't dry in between — the water is part of how it spreads.

Will it damage my paint or surface?

Defender is safe on paint, clear coat, gel coat, glass, chrome, and most trim when used as directed. The two things that cause problems are applying it in direct sun and letting it dry on the surface before you rinse — both can leave streaking or high spots. Work in the shade, one section at a time, rinse right away, and dry it off. Always spot test first, especially on unpainted or textured plastics, single-stage paint, and vinyl wraps. Can I use it on glass and wheels?

Absolutely, and they're two of the best places to put it. On glass it works like a rain repellent — water flies off at speed and your wipers do less work. On wheels it makes brake dust and road grime far easier to rinse away, which means less scrubbing next wash.
