Is Acid Machine Clean safe on aluminum?
Yes — Acid Machine Clean is safe for use on coated, painted, polished, and even raw or uncoated aluminum when used properly. The product should always be diluted depending on the type of aluminum you’re working with. If you spray it on and the surface turns white immediately, that means it’s too strong and needs to be diluted further. Acid Machine Clean can be diluted up to 5:1 (5 parts water to 1 part product). As always, spot test in a small area first, never let the product dry on the surface, and rinse thoroughly with water followed by soap and water.
Is it safe for all wheels and surfaces?
Nope. Spot test first. Don’t be reckless, always rinse quickly and never let it dry on the surface.
Does it contain Hydrofluoric Acid (HF)?
Absolutely not. That stuff is dangerous. Acid Machine Clean is strong but safe when used correctly. We formulated it to be effective without being sketchy.
Do I need to neutralize it after use?
Not required, but we highly recommend rinsing thoroughly and following up with a soap wash—especially on paint, emblems, or glass—to remove any residue and rebalance the pH.
Can I use it on chrome, powder coat, or clear coat?
Yes. That’s what it’s made for. Just spot test, and don’t let it dwell too long. Chrome may need a polish after if it’s been neglected.

How do I clean Boat Pontoons without runoff into the water?
Acid Machine Clean is not safe to rinse directly into lakes, rivers, or any body of water. The runoff can harm marine life and ecosystems, so always clean your boat on land or in a controlled setting.
To safely clean above the waterline without runoff, use this controlled method:
Spray Acid Machine Clean directly onto a microfiber towel—not the boat. Buff it onto the surface in small sections, let it dwell for 15–30 seconds, then wipe off with a clean towel. Follow up with a damp towel and mild soap to neutralize any leftover product.
This gives you precision cleaning without risking environmental damage.
